I'm a big fan of Yamaha, But do yorself a favor and wait till 08 to get one. I went with a new 06 660 instead. All manufactors have bugs to work out when they put a new machine out there.

Don't get to upset the problem isn't with the shifter really, it is with the little idiot light that tells you
when you have shifted from say low gear to high. It will shift fine to high gear but the light is telling you
it is in low. Dealers can fix the first batch of machines that come in, and the Yamaha team (Japanese)
will be making sure the next machines that go to dealers, are fixed. They have allready corrected a number
of small bugs. Plan on shipments around 16 August.

Yamaha makes the best CVT tranny in the business. The shifting issue is because Yamaha changed from the boot style selector to a gate style and did not get things right. I do expect to see some issues with the EPS steering but even total failure will not leave you looking for a tow. So I believe that buying an 07 Griz is an exceptable risk.
