Default Is there an easier to rejet a carb?

A couple of days ago I picked up a dyno jet kit stage one and two for my YFZ450. To actually get to the to word on it I had to remove the air box the whole exhaust and the left plastic panel to disconect the wire's going to the carb. Then I was able to pull out the carb but was limited because the throttle cable was still atached. I want to know if anybody has any tips or tricks so to rejet there carb like changing the main jet or adjusting the e clip on the Fuel needle without taking every thing apart. For as many as I've rejetted, there's no easier way ...than the way you just mentioned. It's a little intimidating having to remove everything just to get to the carb. Whatever stage kit you intend using will get you close enough to get the fuel system dialed in finer <--spelling after it's all back together. As far as physically tearing it apart and seeing what needs to be done, there's no easy way.

Once you've done it the first time, the next time will be easier.

As far as the throttle being connected, once you get the carb all disconnected, you can loosen the throttle to carb nut and spin the carb to get the threaded part out. Unless you go the extreme way by removing the cable from the bars/frame all together.
