I just got a sportsman 500 H.O. . I need to know how to determine what year. I see on it that it complies with something of 2001 standards. It does have IRS also. I got a good deal because someone racked it up pretty bad. I got it for $175 and it runs. Howerver, the sub fram near the suspension is split in half, The shifter goes into the trany at 2 locations. Both rods are broken and looked like someone rigged some type of lever to make it work instead of fixing it. I have never seen anyone neglect a quad this bad. This is beyond neglect. It does run though, so that's a plus. Also, if there is any repair manuals I can buy or get on CD some type of PDF.

 

they all have irs i beleave. its at least an 01 i think its thew first yr of the ho model. you can go ronnies .com and look up parts and diagrams by looking at the ome parts fiche.hell the engines worth more then what you payed for it good deal and good luck.
