Default 85 TRX125 Carb and Oil Questions

I was just given this quad for my son and do not have a manual for it.

What is the factory setting on the Pilot Mixture Screw?

What oil weight and amount is recommended?
Is there a oil filter or screen on this machine?

Any tips and suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for the link on the oil. Hopefully someone can chime in on the PMS setting and oil filter/screen.

My manual tells me .....turn the pilot screw in until it lightly seats and then back it out 2 full turns. The needle jet clip position should be on the 3rd groove. Float level should be 10.5mm or 0.41 in. This is for 1985 TRX125. If you need exploded drawings you can email me montylacour@yahoo.com

Oh I forgot...........there is an oil screen. I saw it in the manual. A great resource for looking at drawings for this bike is bikebandit.com, look in the OEM parts section and then key into your make and model. look at the catergories on the right and you can buy parts and see the drawings, but they are very expensive.

So how is your bike? I bought mine from a friend, man does it need alot of work. I have been through half the bike which was grossly abused. I hate when people do that. I just finished the carb cleaning, very easy but I did not see what they were talking about the clip being in the thrid groove, I will have to look at that when I get time.
