I was wondering if there were any parts that could be drafted from the 250EX to the Recon to make the Recon better. When the 250EX comes out you will probably see more Recon mods don't ya think

from what i've seen, they share everything but the valvetrain, exhaust, plastics, suspension, and tires.

I think the Recon is a good quad and manufactors should make more aftermarket parts for it, wish they would make more for an Arctic Cat too thats what I ride. As for switching parts, I would bet you could put the muffler on a Recon the one on the 250EX is more sporty or you could get a supertrapp pipe that's tunable & probobly a better pipe. From reading Dirtwheels story on the 250EX there is a lot of engine mods that give it a 10% increase in power, increasing the size of the intake and exaust valves, altering valve timing and improved carburetion. The EX is also about 45-50 pounds lighter, 250EX-349 pounds Recon-390 somthing? I read a ATV Sport mag where they hopped up a Recon with a Supertrapp pipe, K&N filter, Dino Jet-jet kit, Duglas Aluminum wheels, Kenda Viper 22 in 2ply tires and gained about 10 mph. With this setup the ATV Sport test crew were poping wheeles off the line with out revin it up and popin it in gear.
Hope this helps, Josh
