Well, I picked up my new Griz 700 yesterday afternoon, and I am some happy. The ride is very
comfortable, and I have to put more miles on it today, to start breaking it in. To anyone that was
thinking this machine wasn't got to be fast, think again. I have driven the Outlander 800, and
now this new Griz. Both machines were new and had zero miles on them. All I can say is they are
both very fast, and this new Griz will not be any dog, up against anything out there. It will be a
big surprise to many. Mine is the camo version without the Outdoorsman added accessories. I
have decided to wait awhile before adding any new equip to make sure items are what I need
or really want. Maybe tires and rims. We will see.

Well, I put about 15 miles on the Griz today through a lot of different Terrain. Some of it was over some
really nasty boggy stuff. I had to use the Diff lock, two or three times, and it truly is amazing how the
steering works. It doesnt seem any different from Diff lock to normal. And I thought the steering would be
good, but I really did underestimate it. It is far more pleasureable than I had expected. It alone is worth
waiting for a power steering atv, be whatever brand. The other thing is the 700 is fast and I mean
scary fast. I can't hold it too long near WOT, as I am trying to break it in correctly. I don't even think I have
been able to hold it for more than a second or two. It just flys. If the KQ, and other 800's can beat
this machine. I sure don't want one. I have never been as comfortable riding, and I am looking forward
to putting a lot of miles on this rig. Oh the engine breaking was quite nice also, and it turns on a dime.
I don't like the owners manual much though, maybe I will understand more of it later.

downeaster. Just got call from my dealer and I can pick up my green 700 tomorrow, Sunday. I will be there early. I saw my first 700 today in another shop, a camo version and it was nice. The seat feels like a pillow compared to anything else. It looks much wider than the 660 and much shorter even though it is only 1.2 in wider and 0.8 in shorter. The proportions just look better IMO. Glad to hear you love yours. I will not have chance to do much riding now until next week other than around the yard.

Congratulations on the new ride downeaster! I have a blue Grizzly 700 on the way, it should be here within a week. I got a call from the Yamaha dealer today to tell me they had a green 700 that I could at least come look at and take for a test ride, so I took them up on the offer. I really liked the feel of the new Grizzly. It feels very stable and well planted at all times, and that is what impressed me the most about it. The dealer had already put some 27" ITP XTR radials on the Grizzly I rode, and I have to say that I was not impressed with the power. It is adequate, but that is all. Our Rhino 660 has 27" tires as well, and the engine revs quicker and certainly feels like it makes more power. BUT, our Rhino 660 has a Wiseco 11:1 piston and a stage 2 cam in it. I'm sure the 700 Grizzly is every bit as fast as any regular 660 engine would be, and I'm sure it would feel faster with the stock 25" tires on it. I did notice that the 700cc engine is lots smoother than the old vibrating 660cc engines are. We've owned three 660 Grizzlys and the 660 Rhino, and I noticed the lack of vibration in the 700 instantly. Overall I think Yamaha has made a much more refined Grizzly this time around. I was impressed, and can't wait to pick up one of my own.
