I finnaly got my Griz 700
#22
I picked up my green 700 today. I put about 4 miles on it in the back yard, 2 acres. This is my first ever utility quad. Only other ute I have ever ridden was about 10 miles on a Polaris 500HO so I am not qualified to be giving expert opinions. Even though I am faster in the back yard on my 400EX, I know I am going to love this when the rides get a little longer and tougher. I am glad the wait is finally over. I got the winch but not the winch mounts, receiver hitch, or rear Yamaha hard box. I selected the 700 Griz because I wanted a full featured 4WD quad that could easily handle every thing I could throw at it and not grow stale as my limited skills improve. I know I have made the correct choice.
Tomorrow I will be getting into the air box to make sure all is properly lubed and sealed. Also need to check all the fluids, can't trust the dealers for anything this important.

I'm curious if anyone here can chime in as to the placement of the new power steering unit? Is it well protected and out of harm's way? I assume it is up on the steering stem or under the bars somehwhere and not down low where "bad things" can happen to it.
I've got a neighbor who says he has money down on one and I'm dying for him to get it so I can get some seat time on it.

The steering assist is reasonable out of the way. It's a seeled unit and it would be fairly hard to smash it with something. It is situated on the shaft close to the bottom.I believe the rad(and fan) are still the most vulnarible.

I just got a blue one yesterday and its the first one to be sold here. I love the power steering, the disc brakes all around r nice, i got the ITP tire and rim upgrade (very nice). I also like how they bent the a-arms to give it more ground clearance. Got bout 10 miles on her.
PS: its my dads....im stickin to HONDA! =p

To all of you lucky people who already have your new 700 Grizz, congrats. I'm still waiting on mine. If you all don't mind sharing, how much did it cost you out the door for your stock Grizz?
