Does anyone remember the Honda FatCat? I know this was a motorcycle, but with those big fat tires it was ATV-like. HA! I used to have a 1986 FatCat, but can't find any pictures of one now. Does anyone have one? 200cc's with auto clutch and very predictable power, but it was a blast to ride. Yamaha had a bike similar too, the Big Wheels I think it was called. manual clutch on that one though, made it more sporty.

Didn't Honda also make a bike that the motor was completely covered. I was an 80cc I think and from the late 80's early 90's.
sound familiar?

Wow, sounds like you rode 'em hard. I remember riding in Wayne National Forest with the FatCat and people telling me to get that "toy" off the trails, it couldn't take it. HA! That thing was a hillclimbing beast. It was heavy though, no doubt. Thanks for the tip on the video, I was wanting to get that anyway.

Yes...a very odd looking machine. Never rode one though.

My friend still has a 86' fatcat that runs great. It uses the same engine as my TRX200SX does. we take it down fishing often as there are a few mud holes to crosss. My first bike was a 1987 Yamaha BW80 (big wheel) IT had the PW80 2 stroke engine in it. Yamaha also made the BW200 and BW350 for some time. very odd machines to learn on though.

I just recently sold a BW 200 to get my 300EX and yeah it was a blast to ride, a little hairy in the ruts and snow though. It went pretty fast for it's weight and was very reliable.

I'd like to find a nice Fat Cat. I think they're cool!
There used to be a place that made a conversion kit that turned '85-'86 250R three wheelers into a two wheeler like the Fat Cat. Saw one at Sliver Lake sand dunes here in Michigan and it RULED!
The little 80cc bike you're thinking about was the "Cub". You see alot of them at the Nationals being used as pit bikes.

Take Care,
