I'm a Plumbing contractor and I have some old friends that always called me Pipelayer for some reason?

Default 17 tooth front sprocket

Can I run a case saver with a 17 tooth front ?

Yes, But I think you will have to shave the inside down a bit. Mock it up and you will see.

I dont have the 17 tooth yet and do the savers work?

I'm pretty sure you will want to keep some kind of case saver on there. I've broken chains before on other bikes, and the chain will imediately punch holes in the case and there goes your oil.
