TM45 idling problem ? poping through carb & dies.
#1
HI,
I currently running the tm45 with a 40 pilot & 155 main, when at idle it will frequently pop the the carburetor and die immediatly, the only way to overcome this problem is the idle it around 1500-2000 RPMs, Is this caused by a lean pilot ? Or do I need to adjust something ? Thanks, Matt

I am not running the stock tube, I am using 2.25 inch PVC to a K&N air filter, no airbox. I will adjust the air/fuel screw today and see if that help's, Thanks for replying.

On the TM you need to either run the direct mout or the stock tube.
Direct mount needs a 150 ish main ,the tube will want a 160ish main.
The pvc pipe will lost power from bottom to top and though the range.
The air screw needs to be about 3/4 to 1 turn out. Are you useing the pump??

Hey fellas....
I have the same problem with my TM45 and idle... however, mine is more than likely from sitting so long (in storage).
In a pumper carb...
Where's the first place to start to clean out old fuel and passage ways. Before I take the carb off, and get out the airgun I want to make sure I'm not doing more than I need. It'll run if I pump the gas, so I know it's a lack of fuel....
Clogged jet... or???
I'm leaving for the dez Monday am... any help is appreciated! And Happy Holidays!
