I wouldn't mind loosing some top speed....it is a little too fast at top speed
The rollers you are refering to are ones in the front pulley correct? I have upgraded to 2000rpm rollers and springs....would you still suggest removing a few?
It has a pipe and jetted and uni filter and hits hard in the top rpm's but lacks in the lower rpm area

Clutching is your problem. I'd recommend 2 things. One, a WRH aluminum clutch (I don't know that anybody else carries them). This will help raise your stall speed. And two, slightly lighter rollers. I'm running 5's in mine, down from 5.5's, and even that made a difference.

Squeege,
One thing that made a big difference was taking out the spark arrestor. It made it more snappy and sounds awsome but not loud. There is 2 bolts that hold the arrestor in. One of them is tack welded. You can grind down the weld and unscrew both bolts. The arrestor is also a restrictor. And the good thing is if you go riding in a state park you can slide it back in and use new bolts. We went riding a few weeks back and it would struggle to make it up some pretty steep hills. When I took the restrictor/arrestor out it made it alot easier to make it up. Just a suggestion.
