Default Front end problem 2003 700 Polaris

I am experiencing a clunking sound while driving normal speeds in 2 wheel drive with the AWD turned off and unplugged. I have even jacked the atv up completely off the ground with no tires touching. You can put it in High and start giving it throttle, back tires spinning, and then all of a sudden both front wheels engage causing a loud clunking noise and then they disengage just as fast. This has just starting do this as I ride the atv. I have pulled the front differential out, took apart, and reassembled, but the problem still exists. With the AWD unplugged I didn't think it could be causing the problem. Does anyone have any advise on this one?
