What makes a shock long travel ?

Default What makes a shock long travel ?

Im looking into buying new a arms and shocks, whats the best ? and how much more travel do you get from "long travel" shocks and what makes them "long travel" ? thanks

Default What makes a shock long travel ?

well... not realyl sure on the specs.. but generally long travel shocks are quite long.. usually 18"+ long.. as well as having ALOT of travel(i beleive 13in")

they usually have sag so when you hit a hole the shock and wheel travel with the terrain instead of bouncing you all over the place...

i know there's video out there.. i'll try and dig it up
