I own a NEW 2001 DS650 and it seems to have alot of problems with clamps coming off, Throttle adjustments and the like is this machine a lemon? I also have some problems putting my seat on can u guys help me? O and i was also woundering if u had any suggestions on an exhaust i was thinking about and alba action yes or no?

 

No the 2001 ds is not a lemon. I have one myself with 7500+miles and never had a problem other than your basic maintence. I would go with an hmf slip on thats what I have on mine and it improved thelow end like I wanted it to. But there has been reports of cooling fans that quit working, but mine hasnt had a thing go wrong yet knock on wood.

 

I have a 01' I have had the following problems : Water pump oil seal's leaking, voltage reguator gone out (battery-not-charging), radiator fan froze up , which are all fairly common issues with the DS. other than these it is a very solid machine.
