DS Play Paddles, Duning, Bowls, Hill Runs?
For years I been running 22 x 11 x 10 wanting something different to play in the bowls with or because of the DS weight do I stay with the straight paddles?
Looking into 22" x 11 x 10
The contenders are
ITP Snad Stars
Sand Tire Unlimited Sand Skat 2, Comp grooved? <-Fricken WAY exspensive
Skat Trak Edge 9 paddle
Like to hear your thoughts

If you are not into drag racing, then stay with the 22's. If you like to drag, then bump up to the 25's. And I'd go NOTHING but extreme haulers in the 22's for playing/duning and nothing but 25 triple-buff for DRAG/DUNING. That's what I have now, and I LOVE them. I dune and drag and don't have any issues with push. I don't even have an edge on the front. I just have triple-buff smothies on the front.
actually looking to go more paddles in the back. So if you are interested in some 25"in - 8/paddle let me know. DS bolt pattern and ready to go.

These paddles are barely used. I've had them out 4 times, and I bought them from a DS Brother. They are 25" Triple Buff EXTREME paddles. They are in great shape and on 1.25 Yamaha patterned 10in douglas wheels drilled for a DS.
The paddles are about as LIGHT as you can get. The only way to make this paddle lighter is to go with regular paddles instead of the Extreme version. I believe that saves about 1/3 of a pound per tire. The only problem with the regular paddles is that they don't hold up all that well for regular duning and riding. I believe that these are perfect tires for duning on a mildly massaged machine, with a regular sized guy. They are not enough paddle for my bike especially with Jed piloting it. Good for me, but even I could use more out of the gates in a race. Remember that I've got the HPR 730 WITH ALL THE GOODIES. On top of that, I run a 25 shot of NO2 via a micro switch. Coming out of the whole with around 100hp is kind of skiddish with 8 paddles. When Jed was piloting the bike at Pismo, his rooster was as big on the first gear change as it was at the start. NOT ENOUGH paddle. I'm going to be looking for a 9 paddle set up, maybe even a 10. I'd even be willing to dismount these so that you can put them on your wheels.
Let me know guys.
PEACE!

I agree with Big Daddy on the Extreme Hauler, for the most part. We have used Edge, Stars, Sand Skate II, and the Extremes. By far the Haulers have the edge, but second place goes to the Sand Stars. The biggest issue with them is they are very heavy, in fact the 22" version on red lable is only a pound or so lighter then stock. The extreme haulers (especially on the black lable rims) are 5 pounds lighter per tire....That is huge. I am currently running 9 paddles for the coastal dunes. Over in Utah, I was under paddled for what I wanted, but in Oregon I get serious dig.
The Stars, in my opinion have a better hook up, and hold a slower side hill way better then the haulers do. I run the haulers, but I bet you can guess what I kept as my backups
