Default Kazuma 150 lighting problem

We have a 2006 Kazuma 150 that has the dual 55 watt halogen front lights. Clearly the stator does not put out enough power to power both bulbs and that rear also. Both front bulbs are barely on are are pretty useless at night. When I disconnect one the other bulb goes twice as bright.

How do I fix this problem? Is there a replacement stator or something else or does my daughter just have to live with the poor light codition?

Thanks

try running 2-35watts, I think that is what ours came with. 55 seems real high...
