bias ply vs radial/ tires
#2
Radials make a huge difference! They tend to contribute to the cushiness of the ride, and have better traction and turning because they keep more rubber on the ground.
Examples:
I was running ITP Holeshot XC's (great desert tire) on our 250EX's. Switched to ITP's new radial TrakStars, and the difference is night and day. Way cusher ride. Better cornering. Grippier traction. Handles like a sport quad should.
Was running Holeshot XC's on the 400's and 450R as well. Switched to the radial iRazrs. This didn't work out quite as well. The ride is great and very radial like, but the tread pattern on the rear tires doesn't do nearly as well as the XC's do (like the fronts tough). When the Razrs wear out, I will go back to the XC's.
