More important than knowing when to shift - is when not to. I would not advise you to gear up while going up a hill until you get used to your new quad/clutch. I hope you always wear your helmet. Wheelies will come with a little practice.
While learning how your new machine - try to ride with a buddy.

Have fun & be safe! Congrats on your new toy!

Will that thing wheelie???? It's just a warmed over Warrior. I always found the Warrior difficult to wheelie.

haha thats good yea if you hit a bump first or on the street it will...Good luck on the new quad and make sure say you are in 6th gear don't go downshifting really fast let the speed of the quad come down a some first and slowly shift into lower gears...and also make sure you hold in the clutch when braking.

when goin up hills after you ride for a while you will know if you have enough to go to a higher gear or not, and for short dragin I found the best thing to do is not even use the clutch when shifting and ride your gears out a little longer than you usually would thats works for me
