Both machines are excellent.

The Vinson leans more towards the sporty side, but can work when needed. It is faster than the Foreman and has proven to be very reliable. The only knock I've ever heard against the Vinson is that it has brittle plastic, but I have not seen this first hand and tend to think it is probably BS.

The Foreman leans more towards the work side, but can play too. The Foreman has proven to be extremely reliable and probably has a better resale value than the Vinson. Also, the Foreman uses gears rather than a belt if that is a factor for you.

If you still can't decide, go with whichever has the better local dealer.

we have a vinson that rides around with us, and one drawback of this machine That i see is the radiator is in the front and gets plugged with mud easily, and overheats at times, but I think that pretty much goes for all liquid cooled machines.

I don't think one is any better than the other. I picked the Foreman over the Vinson because of the ES. I did not want a belt drive. But because of an old injury to my left knee, it's hard to pull up on a foot shift. I also prefer the air cooled engine (less parts) over the water cooled. The Foreman was cheaper too!

Uh, you guys do know that you can get the Vinson with a manual transmission don't you? At least up until last year I know. I have a buddy with one. I think the quality is about equal, the Vinson is sportier and has a nicer ride. The only issue I have heard of with the Vinson is some cracking frames. My buddy's has not cracked.

Yes, ForemanDan, I know the Vinson is available with a 5 speed foot shift. But I can't pull up a foot shifter with my left foot. So in my case the Vinson would have to be an automatic. That's why I got a Honda with electric shift.
