Rev boxes ds650?
#1
I know i have posted stuff on rev boxes before. But i like the ron woods and the vortex. But i ride mainly mudd, fast trails,mx.And when i go on a monthly sand doon ride.Im completly stock. The only thing i have is a k&n/outerwears and a 14 tooth sprocket.I plan on doing a hmf exhuast,22" Rear tires, some bling bling and thats it.If the vortex and ron woods are overkill what else is there?Big gun(or procom) makes me nervous....The vortex is my first choice but seems confusing.Ron woods has no rev limit,I would blow my motor.Idea's please help

The Vortex is very easy to install there is a switch to install on your handlebars map 1 the performance curve will be on 1 by setting the dial on anyone one of the other 9 curves. For example I choose the 7 curve 8350 on the rev limiter has my number 2. Some else rides my bike I switch it to #2 so the stock rev limiter is in place. If I am dragging switch to #1 and you bump the rev limiter up to 8900. piece of cake. Alot of people on here are happy with the MSD as well.

Can i still play in the creek beds with the switch or will it malfunction in alot of water? Also like i questioned before is it overkill?I hit the rev limiter alot. But the ron woods has no rev limiter i dont want to blow my engine. Is big gun reliable.

I have rode mine in the rain mud and have had no issue with the switch, I made the decision based on.
(1) Where am I going with mods on this bike I know me and it is always somthing.
(2) What are the other guys running. Well one trip to DS days last year and the majority of guys up there had the little yellow switch on the bars.....Sold
(3) I just thought the yellow switch looked cool on the bars.

Keep those grounds checked, those Vortex CDI dont like it when a you get a bad ground I mean they FRY! but another nice thing about the Vortex you can have them custom programed with a RWR curv also or any curve for your build.
