Get the required equipment (nerfs and tether) then your protective gear (helmet, goggles, boots, kidney belt, and gloves).
Find some local races and go watch. (I presume you got this far). Go race, don't try to win, learn to work from the back,,emphasis on LEARN!!
Have fun, don't get too serious, plenty of time for that!
Did I mention have FUN?!

i race in mid south hare scrambles, im sure u have heard of these, there is one next month in indiana, any how its pretty basic stuff, u need a tether kill switch, all working brakes, and a pipe that has a decibel level of 94 or less from 20ft away.

im lookin to race myself but im more of a flat track and tt fan, it depends on what level of riding exp. your on, what class your entering, and how many green bills you ahve to put into your gear and the quad.

woodsracertofast, is was lookin into those hare scrambles but i just dont know about them, are they fun? whats the winnings like? and the major question is sponsors! im lookin for sponsors, i have a good technique and 16 years riding experience but i wanna go to the pro level and have sponsors. and how do you travel? i dont have a drivers license , due to that i really have no way to get out of state.

woods racing is fun, but u have to be in good shape, the tracks are like 10 miles long(depending on track) the pros usually make 4 laps and others mostly 3 laps. if your a good racer sponsor ship will come to u. U just dont turn pro over night it will take a few years but if u like racing it will all be worth the time u put into it.
