05-07 Foreman 500 Owners?

Wondering why you all desided on the Foreman over the 2 other machines in the Honda line up?
That being the Rubicon and the Rincon?
Is it that, you like it simple or just not a fan of the Automatic machines. More to go wrong, more maintance.? etc....
What are your thoughts on why you purchased the solid Foreman 500......
Thanks

As you mentioned, I went for basic and no extra maintenance in the future.
*2wd -- Don't really need 4wd. It would be handy, but a 2wd has never let me down.
*Manual shift -- Less expensive down the road if something wears out or breaks.
*Solid Rear Axle -- No extra moving parts to wear out and is about as tough as a tank. A little less comfortable, but I can handle it.
The manual shift doesn't come with the cool gauge pod, but I don't need to know how fast I'm going necessarily. As far as knowing how much gas I have - well I can open the lid and look. I went with the no-frills option, not because I couldn't afford it, but for less to worry about and need to be maintenanced in the future.

Anyone have any problems w/ the rear U-joint going bad? I was reading in a mag. said that there was a common problem w/ the u-joints gone bad because of driving hard in 2wd. Said it was the angle of the rear drive shaft. This is on the newer foremans 05-07's.
