I think I have narrowed my search down to these two outlanders. I have ridden a hand full of times and a few were through some some pretty rocky trails. It was on a Griz 660.

The question is do you Exp. riders think the 650 would be plenty for me or would I be regretting not paying the extra $700 Dollars and getting the 800?

I felt comfortable on the 660 and had no problems. I just didn't know if the 800 could get away from you to fast?

 

Get the 650, it will be plenty.

 

If you want to spend an extra $700, get the 650 MAX XT. The extra wheelbase makes the quad even more stable, especially on steep hills.

The 650 has more than enough power for even experienced riders.

 

Bite the bullet! Get the $800......

 

Any big bore bike can bite you, and the 650 or 800 can really bite. Figure a year to learn how to ride decent. After 2 or 3 years, you will want the 800, especially if you ride in the mountains.

About the safety course, CanAM will pay for it and will also pay you $100 for taking it. Not that they're good guys, they have to do it by law. I've crashed about 4-5 times, it wouldn't have been as many if I had taken that course. Weight management - riding a quad is an active, moving, body weight activity if you want to stay on top.

Ride safe, and you've picked a real easy quad to ride safely on.

I agree..........After a friend and I crashed we both took the course (I had two different brand ATV's so he got to take it for free as did I and I kept the cash......lol)

 

Get the max if you realy want to spend the extra money. The 650 is a great machine I think you will like it
