Default 2002 Rancher ES not shifting

My Rancher will not shift right. You can take off and maybe get to 3rd gear and then it sticks in that gear and will not let me shift up or down. If I stop and shut it off then restart it, it will let me shift it back to nuetral then start agian only to have it happen in 2nd gear this time. I have seen many posts about the Angle Sensor, could this be the problem? Also for some reason the Gear/Speed Display quit working. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

I wil have to look and see where that thread is and see how to reset the computer. I am going to call the dealer and see if the Angle Sensor could be the problem with the shifting. I am not sure why the readout went bad. Is there a way to reset the copmuter?
