Default 2007 polaris sportsman 90 4 stroke

Thinking about purchasing the 2007 Polaris sportsman 90 4 stroke when it becomes avaliable. Is this a good up grade from the eton 50M? The 07 is 4 stroke. How reliable was the 2 stroke sportsman 90? My son wants a utility so he can be like dad.

any input would be appreciated.

thanks

From what I know the 2 stoke was a good quad, with the four stroke you will not have to worry about stator burn out and you won't have to tippy toe through the water...let us know if you buy one and how it runs, I was unawhare they made one when I bought my Eton or I would have gone that route. You may want to consider the Yamaha 125 as well its a utility not sure how they compare on price.

i am also looking into the 07 sportsman.i would get the trx 90,but no reverse is a big deal for us.my boy had the 2 stroke 90 polaris,he loved it,i hated it we sold it. i also really like the looks of the yamaha 125 grizzly and they are supposedly low maint. & very reliable machines.i called abernathy's the other day and they told me the 90 polaris would be offerd in both two and four stroke, with the four stroke having a slightly larger frame and the two stroke remaining unchanged? i really don't understand why they would offer both, he also said it would be late nov. early dec. i am not a big fan of belt or cvt transmissions.if only honda would come out with a recon 125 or add reverse to the trx 90 and put utility style plastic (like sportsman 90) i would probably not mess with the polaris.

I also talked to the folks at abernathy's and was basically told the same thing. I want to take a look at both machines side by side so I can make comparisons. I am planning to put my son on both to see which one he feels more comfortable with. I'm planning to sale the eton and just make up the price difference, I figure I can get more by selling it rather than trading it. The grizzly 125 and low maint. sounds really good to me. I am planning to purchase one of the two for christmas.

Did anyone of you purchase the 2007 sportsman 90 four stroke? If so let me know what you think. I have some questions about them.

I just bought my son a 2007 Polaris Sportsman 90. We are going for the initial ride tomorrow morning. I will let you know how it goes.

We bought my ten year-old daughter the 2007 Sportsman 90 and are pleased with it. It is bigger than the previous models and the four stroke is nice.

The law in Minnesota prevents her from riding over 90cc on public property until she is twelve years-old or else I would have bought her something with a bigger engine. She could ride and handle her older sisters 330 Trail Boss just fine, but we'll have to wait. The 90cc will only go about 30 mph and doesn't offer much clearance so it has to work to keep up with our bigger machines. We have fun though.
