I have a CDI I never used a 2005 Eton I purchased from miniquadracing but with no technical support. Will it work on an Alpha sports 90. The color wires are totally different but both have a total of 5 wires. Any instructions on how to install would help.

tell me the wire colors on cdi and stator and i can probably figure it out for you. the eton cdi has a rev limiter built into it. the green wire that comes out of the back and goes back in needs to be clipped and that will disable the rev limiter.

Thanks HQR109- the Eton CDI has: 1 black with white stripe, 1 black with Red stripe, 1 with red with white stripe, and solid black and solid orange that are mated to connector. The Alphasport has: 1 white, 1 black, 1 yellow with red stripe, and 2 solid reds mated to a connector.

 

on the single wires that are not in the plug what type connector does each have on it, which ones have a male and which ones have a female. the wires in the plug should just plug into the plug on the quads wireing harness, they are your coil wires.

Thanks for your help. The black with white stripe has a female connector and the other two have males. Then there is the solid black and solid orange that are mated with its own connector. But on the Alpha sport, all the wires go directly into the plug, so there are no male and female connectors. I did take pics but for some reason it wont allow me to put them in my profile pics.
