If its hard to start it probably needs a new top end. I bought one with blown motor and have less than 1200 in it now. Heres my Project Blaster.

damn man 400 bucks ? scoff that baby up and sell it haha. But yeah its probably the top end, hopefully you dont get screwed and it ends up being something totally wrong. but then again 400 bucks ? could always part out at worst.

Next time you go over there..Take a compression tester with your..Check the compression..When you put the plug back in..kick it a few times make sure there is no knocking sounds when you kick it over..If it is low on compression..New rings...Pistion...And a bore job..$200.00.....Then you will have $600.00 in the blaster still a good deal...The starting prob can be bad jetting..dirty air filter..Fould plug..It could be a easy fix...Just look it over good..Your looking at it..not us..Its your call...
