Tires Max/XT/Standard??
#1
OK, was in the dealer today and noticed different tires on the 500 Max models? 25 ACT but they were fatter then the badlands. The guy said they were pretty expensive tires and better then the Badlands, do these only come on the Max models because they provide a more stable ride? I really liked the looks of them but the guy said they were almost $600 for a set of four.

the act's are part of the Xt package. which also includes front and rear bumpers , warn 2500lb winch, handgaurds, and 6 spoke aluminum wheels for 07, and a suspension upgrade.

I don't believe there was any suspension upgrades for the XT. The XT and the regular Outlander have the same suspension, only the XT is heavier due to the bumpers and the winch. As far as the tires, alot of people still like the badland tires. I know of some guys to take the A.C.T.'s off and put badlands on along with nicer wheels. I myself don't know why you would do that, I like the A.C.T.'s. Can-am has a poster of Mike Penland jumping on his Outlander 800 and it looks like his quad has got badland tires on it. So they must be pretty good.

the upgraded shocks are dual rate springs frt and rear. its a noticable difference when jumping. i have both sets of tires the badlands and act's and i dont even bother with the badlands anymore. the act's out perform the badlands in the sand, mud and on the rocks. not to mention the badlands are easier to puncture. i will be buying another set of act's i just wish they made them in a 27" . the closest thing you can get to them is a mudlite xtr and im not paying that price.
