Anyone compared the Kingquad 700 to the Outlander 800?

I know the Outlander has a lot more power. What I want to know is how the two compare in ride, steering, handling, technical trails, rocks, and general trail riding. I've had my Kingquad for 2 years and I will soon own an Outty 800. I've only had a chance to ride an Outlander for a very short time and would like to hear from those that have had seat time on both.

Wish I could be more help, I ALMOST bought a KQ last year, kinda wish I had instead of the Rincon but anyway. At the time the Outlander only came in the 400 and only scarce rumors of a larger one so I started looking, the KQ seemed to have pretty much everything EFI, IRS, etc.....and was the best value for everything you got. I've never ridden one but I don't think it gets the respect it's probably due.

Actrite...nice to see you on here again. Yeah...I have owned both. The King Quad is valued right...good power, handling, I.R.S., etc. I was experiencing electrical issues and got rid of it. Almost immediatley went and bought the 800 Outty. No comparison. If there is any comparison at all it is in the handling...both very nimble. Yet, the Outty is tons more 'solid' in it's overall feel. I will say this..the King Quad offers a great bang for the buck...but...the Outty 800 is in a class of it's own. I.M.O.

Pastor,
I thought you had moved from a Kingquad to a Outlander 800, so you are a good one to answer my questions. How does the steering compare? Is the steering lighter on the Outlander 800? Also, is the ride comparable or much better on the Outlander. How about climbing steep hills? The Kingquad front end stays planted on steep hills, does the Outlander? I am real close to buying a Outlander 800, every review I read has the Outlander 400, 650, or 800 as the winner, is it really that good?

I happen to think they are. Compare an Outlander 650 with a Rincon, for the same price there is no comparison IMO.
Only competition in power is the BF or SP's.....The Grizzly, Rincon and KQ are now EFI but still single's while the BF, Outtie and SP have v-twin engines.
I don't think you will be disappointed in an Outlander and in all fairness prob. won't be disappointed in whatever you decide, all offerings seem to be pretty close.

Actrite...The Outty is exceptional on hills...the front end is very stable and stays planted on the ground. I realize there are always scenarios where people have situations...however, my experiences with the Outty have ALL been good. As of right now i have 1000 miles on this thing and it just gets better.
