I'm not sure on the top speed, never had it radar gunned before. But I can tell you how to get more power out of your 400. Get rid of the WB pipe. We did an independent comparsion with some friends. All of which had only piped there Quads. The WB offered, without question, the least amount of power gain. The FMF Core IV was a little better and the Big Gun was the favorite. Again, this was just some friends, but I felt it was one of the most unbiased comparison, since we didn't care who won, we just wanted to know the best pipe. You can find the WB pipes for sell on the net. I know this wasn't your question, but thought I'd share a little insight.

That's strange, because the WB Pro-meg setup was by far the favorite in the GT-Thunder comparison. Granted, that was the full system, but it still uses the E-series silencer. What kind of tests did you and your friends do, and how big of actual difference was there between the pipes?

Back on topic... I've put a speedometer on my EX, and it rev-limits in 5th at about 60mph on the stock tires, with a 14 tooth sprocket. So I'd guess with the stock 15 tooth sprocket you could hit 65.

Maybe not, but the 400EX will get there much faster.

mine goes 82 HONEST mph, I installed a digital speedometer that is accurate to +/- 1/2 mph. It is calibrated correctly and read 82 mph. Check my signature though, many mods! Thats with 16/36 gearing, just got my 34 tooth sidewinder, wow thats high!! I keep you posted but it will probably do faster with the taller gearing, my 18 inch tires gave more speed because they are much lighter even thought they are smaller diameter which gears it down.
