Default Banshee Radiator Leak!! Help!!

I noticed while riding this weekend a small amount of collant leaking onto my front A-arms from the radiator. It wasnt leaking all the time, it seemed sporatic, with the bike running it would leak and then stop. There is also no leak with the bike sitting overnight. The overflow bottle was still somewhat full. I coulnt exactly see where the leak is coming from. Prior to riding this weekend I filled the overflow tank over the full line and to the top of the tank. My question is has anyone seen this before? Will over filling the coolant overflow tank cause a leak somewhere on the radiator? Is it safe to say that as long as there is collant in the overflow tank there is no worry that the radiator will run out of coolant and the bike overheat? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks in advance,

John

mine did the same thing this past weekend, turned out to be the over flow tube seems to be normal unles maybe the cap is going bad, just take off the front radiator cover and look and make sure that is where it is coming from.

check and make sure your banshee is not overheating. it's possible some coolant is just making its way out of the cap if the cap is worn, or that one of your hose clamps is loose. Or you could have a cracked hose, or worse yet, a small puncture near the top of your radiator. Flush your entire coolant system and check for leaks.

This will sound strange, but my brother's banshee used to boil its coolant. No joke.

Thanks for the help Maxx. I assumed it was something I might have done to cause it.
