Need a rear caliper
#1
Does anyone have a extra rear caliper they don't need?
On my last ride I was trying my new trinity stage 4 pipe and it bottomed out and smashed the brake line clamp and locked up the rear brake.
I was on a long dune run and when I stopped the rear was smoking hot. It ended up warping and melting my caliper and pads.
I am still trying to find out why it hit the swing arm. Have any of you had this problem?
When I called Trinity the just played the I don't know game. Then when I asked if the have any mounting instruction for me they told me not for that pipe because they don't sell many of them. WTF<.
So I have my new roter and pads but I cant find a caliper.
Thanks

Check in the what's in your garage thread or try ebay for parts...Did the brake line just rip altogether from the rear caliper because if you look where the foot brake is and follow the brake line there is a brakcet where the brakline rests and it may have come loose from there and pulled on the brake line causing fluid loss and air in the lines and when you pressed on the brake it may have seized up and not been able to release pressure or something hit it from the ground.

No the actual pipe bottomed out and smashed the clap holding the brake line where it is mounted on the swing arm.
That caused the fluid to close the caliper and then not release.
do the front brakes interchange with the rear?
