Default Off topic-My new trike!!!

Okay its not a three wheeler that most think of when the word trike is mentioned but it is instead a 2004 Honda Goldwing 1800 that me and the wife recently had converted to a trike. This thing is a real blast to ride and although i was concerned about the cornering ability and steering characteristics it is very easy to ride.I plan on adding a trailer so that we can go on camping trips and also for extended travel to accomodate all the necessities that are needed on a long trip.We went with the Motor Trike Spyder with the air ride suspension.rear bumper and optional trailer hitch. If anyone has thought about going to a trike but has reservations about the way they handle i can say that at least for the one we got handling is not a problem.I have logged many miles on quite a few street bikes but the old back is finally getting to the point where i needed the ultimate in comfort for long rides and this is just what the doctor ordered.I figured why not post about our new toy since it is so slow in here.I really need to figure out how to post pictures here.Any other trike owners out there?

I was wondering how the trikes handled. Thinking about a 1500 gold wing.

Mike, been wondering how you are liking that winged trike. PM, or call me and I will come over some evening and get any and all pictures that you want posted. Should be able to do it from your home PC, all you need is some jpeg files or a scanner at home to scan your photographs in, and we'll get it done. I've got a digital camera that we can use to create some jpeg's if thats what we need to do.

Now wouldnt that be a sight. Before we had the Goldwing converted to a trike i did have it up past 130 and it did not take long to get there.Did i say 130 that must be a mistake because that would be illegal(wink.wink).At 1150 lbs and 110" long this thing is huge but easy to ride.We will be there at about 9:30 or 10:00 .

You need an atv trailer to tow behind your trike!

mystereid i agree and i will probably do just that. This trike should be fully capable of pulling a trailer large enough for a quad and the power should not be an issue.I have been looking already!!!!

You'll definately be easy to spot at the dunes.
I remember years ago at Florence seeing someone trailering a quad behind a streetbike.
