ZEI 70cc quads
#1
HI, Just put 1 Zei 70 cc quad together and 1 more to go for a buddy. They were bought from Ebay, coming out of Vancouver.
I have had a few gio 50 cc quads. But these were i few bucks cheaper and more cc's according to him.
SOME POINTS OF DIFFERENCE:
They have the same body as the gio, but a different manufactour according the vin sticker.
Frame welds look to be solid, 1 frame leans badly to the left, further investigation( uprights coming off the bottom of the frame, one side is an inch shorter)
Brake doesn't have any means to lock it in place
Motor shakes around alot( motor not bolted down to the frame) back is bolted to the swing arm and top is bolted to upper frame rails by a bracket
Adjustable shocks: even on highest setting found to be very bouncy and unstable with 200lb adult on it( i know not made for 200lb adult) Hard to get 4 yr old to tell you if its too bouncy or unstable ( will have to keep an eye on him)
Changed oil and plug, fired right up out of the box with no adjustments.
Air filter: k&n look alike, very hard to get off, metal plate right behind it
Tires and rims look the same.Different axles, spocket, hydraulic brake looks the same
A few loose bolts and some cotter pins missing on the front steering.
Power wise not seeing much of a difference if any between 50cc and 70cc.Was getting late last night so didn't have much time to test out. Have one more to build today, will try to test it out.

Tested today- 2nd quad rear shocks on lowest setting not near as soft as first quad, shocks way too soft on highest setting ( front), very unstable, can't get it past 1/4 throttle with out feeling like your gonna roll over.
Missing a few bolts and all cotter pins for front steering.
Zei has 6" ground clearance( except for rear guards around the sprocket and brake), gio only has 4"ground clearance ( Zei is about 5" higher at the handle bars)
Zei has about 2 1/2" wider stance. Looks like gio shocks should fit, my buddy may get a set or pull mine and try them.
