Syntheitc rope ?
#3
I'm with you maddog. I broke my wire about 5 times last winter using my plow. I still have the wire one tied in a knot. I never knew there was a synthetic option, but I'm not sure if it would be better. Anyone know from expirence???

I have 2 winches, one has the rope. I love it. It came with my 3000 lb warn. If you do change it, look for nicks on the drum and fairlead. Any nicks could wear out the new rope quick as the rope passes across the nicks!

It is exactly the same lenght, and size as the wire cable. No backlashes if it were to snap. It comes with a
chafe guard on the rope of about 5 ft standard. You can move the chafe guard up or down the rope to protect
against a downed log is the war or a rock. It is similar to 1/4 nylon rope in that it is limber if dropped. No
kinks or broken spurs to cut you. Oh mine came in Camo which is like the green in the fishing line they sell
that is a braid. You shouldn't use the fairlead that came with your winch, as it will wear out the rope quickly.
Purchase the aluminum hawse fairlead that is similar to the ones that come with the winch.. Heres a
couples of places to look at them.
