Hey Guys, Just bought a 2001 Banshee today. I am going to put a new airbox, FMF SST pipes and the proper jetting. Should I add a new reeds, reed spacers and a boost bottle? Will there be much of a difference?

thanks.......no longer a 440exfanatic

I highly recommend the Toomey 2:1 air filter system. I don't know if my old filter was just clogged with filth or what, but on my machine it made a HUGE difference. You can do a search on boost bottles and "the real story about reed spacers" (i think) in the performance section for some other tips and advice.

Good call on the Banshee! Anyhow, I dont know for sure if the reeds/spacers/boost bottle helped on my bike, but when racing other stock banshees with just pipes, I usually beat them by a bike or bike and a half. So IF you can afford them, Id say go for it.

if you get the boost bottle you have to have that thing set up perfect or else it wont run worth a $hitt. I know 3 people with them, 1 got it right, 2 others just wasted their money.

Someone posted a site called www.quadstore.com. They have a project where they install bolt-on items then dyno to see the results. Click on Project Banshee.
