Default ATV SIZE FOR ME (Japan or China)

What's a good ATV size for an experienced rider that's over 6'0 and around 200lbs. I been looking at the "Komoto" and "SUnL" 250cc Chinese brand, mainly for the $$. I'm not planning on jumping doubles and racing, but I do plan on throwing it around in the woods and hoping it will throw me around because of the power. What I'm concerned with is finding parts like brake pads, tires, clutch levers and cables, just things that tend to break. Also dimesnions of the bike and fuel capacity is a biggie for selling me. GRACIOUS!

Weekend Warrior,
Sounds like you'll be somewhat rough on your quad. It is my recommendation that you get a Honeda EX400 or close to that size...you are about my size. However, if you don't want the expense, my friend has been riding a Redcat DPX 200, it has a manual hand clutch, but execpt for the battery, it has held up. If you buy a Chinese quad, I must insist that you get it from Raceway. It can be hit or miss on quality...and if you miss, the extra money you spend will be worth it. They walk the walk and have future parts support. Hope this helps. SEADAWG

for whar you spend on a 250 china quad, for 500 bucks more you can find a used jap quad, it would be much better for a adult, the china quads can be alright but they are better suited for kids.

over the winter keep a eye on my consuner reports for;
redcat 150

kazuma 250

I would also go with used. Something like a honda or even a Polaris scrambler.

Look at kymco, Little cheaper than japanese but same quality or maybe better than some models. I buyed a yamoto 200 in march and a mammoth 90 for my son ,but nothing than problems . Our friends buyed them for their kids and we buyed all kymco`s. I have a mongoose 300, wife mongoose 250 and son mongoose 90.
Kymco makes the quads for arctic cat , kawa, i think even honda use them.
