Default Looking for a quad for my 12yr old girl

Im looking for a name brand quad for my daughter thats 12. I need automatic or semi automatic. Im really not sure whats out there for quads her age, im guessing probly around a 250cc? I ride a Banshee and a grizzly, my 5yr old son rides a scrambler 90, my 8yr old ride a Sunl 110 (junk), and wife rides a 350 Bruin. The 12yr old now wants to ride after seeing for the past couple years all the fun we have

xcbandit,

If your looking for a 250 the TRX250EX and the LTZ250 are excellent choices. I just bought my 11 year old daughter the TRX250EX and she loves it. She even likes the new sports clutch option that they added to the 2006 models. Other quads to look at would be the Arctic Cat DVX250, this quad was more expensive than the Honda and the Suzuki here in my area the dealer wanted 3999 for the quad. Can- Am DS 250, Polaris Phoenix 200, Kymco Mongoose 250 or 300. These are the 250's I was considering on purchasing for my daughter. She went and sat on most of them and liked the Honda the best.

Good Luck.

SB.

I bought my wife a Honda Rincon 250ES...she is small, 5' and about 110 wet. It has push button shifting and is the smoothest, easiet quad I have ridden. High quality, smooth and I got it brand new for $3300.00. She loves it and my daughter is riding it some under strict supervision and will grow into it. SEADAWG

Seadawg,

You mean Recon not Rincon.

XCbandit I would look at the Polaris Phoenix or trailblazer. Both great quads and you cant beat them for the money.

My bad, you always keep me straight The Recon is a good quad too. SEADAWG

xcbandit, Don't mean to be rude. But from your post A 250 may be to much for A new rider. You may want to look into the Polaris 90 Predator. Being that she is 12 , And not that experenced. Has the power for for sand and has the most safty feature's for Kid's Quad's.

I just bought my daughter a 2007 Kawasaki KFX 90.

Great little quad. Fully automatic transmission - priced at $2100.00.

It is a nice size also - I can ride it at 6' 2" and 235 lbs. (barely) but it is fun!

I realize that a 250 is probably too big at first, but in a year or so she will fine. It is smooth and she'll grow into it. The ease of operation and the small size is what I'm saying is a go. I'm not advocating danger...you can supervise. I know this will pi'ssss a lot of people off, but my 9 yr old drives it with me under stict supervision and no freedom SEADAWG
