Default offset rims and lightweight trail tires. help! 650i

i need some help. my 07 brute force 650i handles like crap. i want some offset rims to help the handling, as well as some lightweight 4 ply or 6 ply tires. i don't want super hard tires that will destroy the ride. i like what polaris puts on their 700's. aren't they a 4 ply radial tire. i may put some carlisle badlands on some offset rims.

question is what rims should i look for. how about stock grizzly rims, will they add offset if i can find some cheap on ebay? ours are backspaced which is the opposite of what we want. i do not want a heavy rim. can you guys recomend a rim with offset that is not too heavy.

i need some tire help too. the handling is sad and i need a visible improvement. will good tires help that jerk that happens when i hit big tree roots too?

I don't know what kind of riding you do. But if your 650 handles as bad as you say it does. You may have something out of wack or out of adjustment. My 06 650 handles like a dream compared to my 05 750.

mostly tight trail riding with lots of turns. i need offset rims but i want a light rim.
i also believe a tougher tire will help me take the turns better than my 2 ply dunlops. any recomendations. i do NOT want a heavy stiff riding tire. i just want something a little thicker on the sidewalls that won't crush while taking turns. i don't really need a mud tire, just something for dirt trails and that may be a little better in the mud than stock. main thing is the trails and handling.

please recomend some rims and tires for me
