2004 Eton viper 50 rev limiter

Default 2004 Eton viper 50 rev limiter

Does anyone know how to disable the rev limiter on the Eton viper 50??

Default 2004 Eton viper 50 rev limiter

Yes..Remove the nose cone and on the right hand side(as you face it) you will see the cdi box in a rubber sleeve attached to a metal tab..You can just lift the rubber sleeve up off of the tab and pull the whole thing out.Slip the cdi out of the sleeve and you will see a green wire coming out of the backside of the cdi and going right back in.Snip the wire in two and tape the ends and you're done.Be careful you don't unplug any wires when you pull out the cdi..I have pictures if you are unsure what to do but its very simple.

Thanks, Your right it was simple. What else can we do to get a little more out of it?

Default 2004 Eton viper 50 rev limiter

It depends on how much more you want out of it.A higher compression head and better reeds will help a little.You can get a bigger cylinder and piston and make it into a 70cc..You can get a bigger carb and a pipe for big gains for bigger bucks..Clutching can really make it jump out of the hole....Or you can do it all and have a real screamer..
