Snow tires..Holeshots or Blackwaters?
#2
I live in KY, we had a little snow here a last week. My holeshots weren't much good. I was fine if I putted around, but I couldn't give it enough throttle to accelerate without spinning out, and I couldn't climb any hills.

Holeshots are made for hard and soft packed dirt. They will clog up in the snow and you will sit and spin. Blackwaters have a much more open tread pattern and they will clean out easy and this will be better in the snow.

Holeshots aren't going to work in snow.
I had a set of Blackwaters on a Polaris Xplorer 400 and they suck in the snow. Because of the large, offset, angled ribs the rear of the quad would fishtail from side to side. I believe your best bet would be Maxxis Sur Traks or Kenda(?) Bear Claws. With either tire you can turn them around and get more traction in sand or snow.

Ya I agree, I have blackwaters on my warrior and only like the top part of the tire touches the ground and is not a flatter tire. The tire just skids around and u get no traction in snow what so ever. Dont get either 1 for snow. You will probably have more luck with holeshots. I would go wit Realters. They look really good for anything!
