Just got a 2003 400ex. I was wondering whats the proper way to start the quad. Thanks

 

Be sure the fuel valve is on. Turn on the key and be sure the kill switch is on. I pump the throtle several times to inject some fuel into the carb, kind of to prime it. Push the start button and it starts easily every time.....never even needs any choke. (This assumes that your quad is properly jetted and it isn't 30 degrees below zero.)
