Default 98' trail boss 250 magneto removal?

I can't seem to find a magneto removal tool for my 98 polaris trailbass 250, I tried to use a 2-arm puller and broke the puller in the process. Any ideas on how to remove it? have any of you made a tool to remove it? thanks

It's a three studded puller that screws into the mag and pushes against the crankshaft

hmm are you sure it screws into the magneto? Here's a picture of what the flywheel looks like

I was using a 2- arm puller on the larger holes but it broke the puller, I know the pullstart assembly screws into the 3 smaller screws, i'd just hate to mess up the threads on those if the flywheel is really stuck on there, is this the proper way to remove it?

thank you

Yes, I'm sure. I have one. The 3 threaded holes is where you screw the pulley into the mag. A big bolt in the center of the pully is then screwed against the crank and pulls the mag off
