New here guys and fairly new to atv's. I've been researching some and am looking for some opinions and or experiences with the following brands. Looking to get a starter atv for my 10 year old son...partial disability, so needs to be as easy to use and reliable/durable as possible. Anyhow, here are the ones I am considering: Unison Desert Cat 90, Kolpin 90, or Jackel 90R. Trying not to spend arm and leg on first atv that he will grow out of, thus not looking too much at bigger brands. Any info is greatly appreciated. Later!

 

Unison dc90 all the way. Easy to start, foot brake and hand brake, very reliable, great price, low maintenance and available reverse.

2manytoys is right on, period! Go with his advice, soundly tested and do the research. Us picky bas____ ds that love to ride give this a thumbs up. We all have Big 4 quads too. Just like the big 4, this and the DC 50 have stood out. Please take his advice and mine. SEADAWG

 

Here is another vote for the Desert Cat. The Kolpin might be a bit cheaper at Gander Mountain
but it doesn't have the foot brake. Yes it is a big deal....buy one with a foot brake.

well, desert cats glowing reports go on and on....that says a lot

one problem.....with my sons disability, it would be very difficult to use the foot brake.....suggestions?

For a few more $ over the DC90 get the Polaris Predator 90 with dual hand brakes. More safety features and easier to get parts for.
