Default 06 sp450 headlights dimming

My headlights dimm slightly when I pull the hand break lever, with it running or not running. I just noticed it last night and I don't think it's did this before. Does anyone else have this issue?

the only reason i could think of is its powering the rear tail lights, but there shouldent be that much draw from those bulbs to cause a dimming.

It's not much at all, but just enough to be noticed. I don't know if it has always done it or I just noticed the other day. I'm going to check all the grounds and see if one is loose. Could be just the break lights drawing current and dimming the headlights slightly, but I just think i would have noticed that before now.

it would be barely noticable if when you hit the brake to dim the lights.when you start the bike w/ the h.lights on it will dim a litle too right.

I notice the same thing on my ATP when the engine isn't running or is running at idle the headlights dim when you apply the brakes. I think this is pretty normal because at idle the mag has enough output to run the engine electrics but not much else, so your lights are running off the battery with very little if any supplemental juice from the mag, the extra draw form the brake lights, especially the bikes with dual brake lights ammounts to about 30 watts. Which isn't insignificant.

The lights on my Honda Rancher used to get brighter when i would give it gas but not dimm when I hit the brakes. My sp450 does not do this, they only dimm when i hit the brake. Just wanted to make sure all of them did this not just mine.
