Hello all! This weekend I went to an atv park for the 1st time and realized I need some aftermarket tires. Currently I have a 2005 Polaris Sportsman 400 4x4 with the factory tires on it. They are in great condition, however, not suitable for mud etc. I would like to put on 26inchers to get a little more ground clearance. Will the 26ers rob a lot of power from the 400cc's. Can any of you tell me what tire you prefer when playing in the mud and water. Of course I have looked and can't make up my mind on what I want/need. Thanks

 

gators or bugs in a 26 would do wonders!!!outlaws make a bad @ss mud tire, and zillas too.( both are very aggressive!) i have 26 inch gators on my 05 rancher and love em!

 

You will get alot of opinions on this subject, my personal opinion would be Swamplites. They are a great all terrain tire, they have proven themselves in the mud,rocks, and hardpack. Im excited to get them in the snow. You can look at my pics to see the tires

 

Yeah!! Get either the swamplites or the itp 589s. These two tires seem to be the best in my and others opinion, and they have proven their werthiness to me many a time in all conditions

 

if looking for mud tires i have a set of mudzilla 27 in for sale w/ less than 20 miles on them.
