I am going to be getting a new set of Hauler paddle tires. I will be getting the 10 paddles instead of the 8 paddles like everyone else. Are there any advantages to going with a 10" wheel instead of an 8" wheel?
Thanks

10 paddles are a lot harder to turn, Be careful if your machine is stock, they rob a lot of power from your motor.

How modified is your 250 R? Ten paddles is quite alot unless you got the power to turn them in the sand. I run 8 paddle Scat Trak "Edges" on my LT 250 R/ They work great.

Good luck,

Speaking of Haulers, I run the 8's on my 400, however the other week I lost one of the paddles (should've got the Sand Skates).

Anyway, I now have 7 on one. Will that make that much of a difference in performance? I'm making a trip to the dunes next weekend (Silver Lake) and am not sure if I will be able to replace it by then or not.

I dont mean to knock Skat-Trak, the base of the paddle is still attached/"vulcanized" to the tire. I must of hit a rock or something, the paddle broke in half. Besdies I prefere the stright paddles as opposed to the "V".

I know what you mean by losing paddles. All thought i have not lost a whole paddle, I have lost chunks, but that is as much my fault as the paddles ( I need to traverse a rocky area of the road before getting to the dunes and soemtimes I dont feel like creeping). I have had the chance to compare straight haulers with the "edges:" and i have found that the V does make a difference in turning. WIth the haulers i was sliding in the corners. With the "edges", i could feel my quad pushing forward while in the turns. The haulers are probably better in a straight line, but for cornering, I prefer the "V" shape paddles.

Hey John, I've heard that if you send your tire back to skat-trak they will replace the busted paddle for about $15? or around there im not positive on the price. You could call them at (909)795-2505.
