I should be getting my Boyesen rad valves for my Banshee tommorow, and I was wondering what main jet size change would be required?

Right now I have 290 main jets.

If I'm not mistaken Boyesen suggests that you go down one size on the main jet. I did on my R when I installed mine and it was dead on.

It really depends on what other mods you have. I just put some rads on my banshee about 2 months ago. When I got into the carbs It had 300 mains. I dropped it down to 280s and she runs perfect. I'd go 2 sizes down to begin with and adjust if needed from there.

I just got my rad valves today, and when I opened the box I didn't see the boots or the clamps. Do banshee rad valves come without them?

I need some serious help on jetting my carbs. I dont even know where to begin on my carbs. I just ordered a dynojet kit on my banshee and i dont know where any of those parts go. I know that the jets are the screws on the sides of the carbs, but where are the numbers, i have toomey pipes, reeds, and a uni filter, what should i have the jetting set to? I need alot of help, clueless here.

The Banshee Rad valves use the stock intake manifolds so they don't send you the boots or clamps. Installation is a piece of cake. Remove your pipes and airbox. Losen the clamps to the manifolds. Undo the 4 bolts from the manifolds to the head and pull the stock reed cages out. Oh and be sure before you do any of this you clean around the area so you don't get any dirt inside the motor. Put your new Rad valves in and put it all back together. Before you attach the carbs back up do your jetting and then attach the carbs. Then put your airbox back on and then your pipes. Trust me it's easier to do the jetting before you put it all back together.

If you still need to rejet after words just losen up the clamps and spin the carbs 90 degrees with the top of the carbs on the inside. It's a pain to rejet this way because your screw angles are a bit off but it can be done and it's easier than taking it all apart again.

BrianP, I will agree that you are clueless. J/k. The jets (main) go inside the carbs. you need to take off the float bowl (its the bottom thing that has 4 screws holding it on) just remember to put it back together the same way you took it apart.
