I am in the process of greasing all the locations but I think I am missing 2 that the books show on the steering shaft towards the top. Also how do you remove the front middle section of plastic?
Thanks

On 01 model year polaris atv's, most don't have the zerk on the bottom of post as they use a bearing, if it doesn't have a bearing, it has a bushing and can be accessed from the left side of bike, if equipped with a zerk on the top of post, it will be on the front side of frame where top of posts clamps up. The panel can be removed by applying upward force on front of it. Hope this helps

Thanks jta4455
I found a zerk on the top after removing the top front center plastic. Still did not find one on the lower area.
The manual from Polaris is not a very good one for me.

jta4455 is right. I owned a '00 and '01 scrambler 500 and the bushing at the bottom was changed in '01 to a sealed unit. They just forgot to update the book. I'd use a screwdriver to pop out that front cover so you don't wear down the plastic clips. Also you should be able to get at the top fitting without removing the cover everytime. Just move the wires a little and use a grease gun with a flexible hose.
