Default 4x4 not working 01 magnum

The 4x4 on my magnum is not working. Here is what info I have already. On the handlebar switch I have key power on pin A. I have power to pin F when the reverse overide button is pushed in or the trans is in a forward gear.I have continuity between pin F and pin E when the switch is in the AWD position. I have 22 ohms resistance on both of the ft axle actuators. I purchased a new handlebar switch but had the same results. I have good contunuity in the wiring harness going up the handle bar. I need some good help on this one.

Hey Jim, Do you have oil in the front hubs? If not fill them at 3 or 9 oclock or slightly higher untill it gets through the bearings. I assume the AWD light lights up on the switch. If the light does not light up the "awd" will not work. Current needs to flow through bulb first. If this is all ok, take the hubs apart and check the coils for corosion. It's not to hard to takt them apart, just get a clean rag and sent everything in order the way you took it apart. OK good luck

You could always just splice into your wires going to the hubs and put a switch to the battery just to get you buy until you see if it is a gear sensor, speed sensor or other problem.

I had the same problem with my 01 sportsman. It turned out to be some bad wiring under the hood. I had to do some wire probing and found 2 bad spots close to the top of the steering post. It would sometimes work and sometimes not. I got it fixed before the snow fell! That was 8 monthes ago now I got new problems!
